Budalang’i Member of Parliament Ababu Namwamba has suffered a major political setback after the Registrar of Political Parties declined to register a party linked to him.
Lucy Ndung’u, Registrar of Political Parties argues that there are unresolved ownership issues with Federal Democratic Alliance of Kenya, the party that Namwamba intends to use as his political vehicle in next year’s General elections.
“In view of the above and without prejudice, and since this issue concerns an existing party, the office finds it only fair and just to forward this letter of objection to the applicant for more information and appropriate action,” Ndung’u is reported to have written back to the applicants in a letter dated August 16, Star newspaper reports
